Conservation of The Yukon's Fisheries

At Cabin Fever Adventures
we believe in fostering environmental awareness by giving people an opportunity to participate in nature in a meaningful and direct way. We are blessed to live in a part of the world where human populations are still relatively low and natural populations of many species of fish are still abundant. Therefore, we believe in keeping a modest portion of the fish that we catch for the purpose of eating.   There is something very unique about the experience of deriving food directly from nature, without the need for food distributors, refrigerators, transport trucks, or plastic wrap.  We practice live release for the fish we are not keeping and try not to molest the fish in an area unduly.  If we have success catching fish in one area, we will move on to enjoy our fishing in a different section of the lake or river to prevent the fish from being harmed or becoming hook-shy.
