Frances River Attributes:
- The Frances River starts with a scenic paddle south on Frances Lake in order to reach the outflow of the river
- The Frances is mostly class I however there are several class II-III rapids which depending on water level will either be portaged or run after being carefully scouted
- Excellent fishing for bull trout and grayling after spring flood has passed
- The final day of paddling is on the Liard River before reaching a take-out on the Alaska highway just a little to the west of Watson Lake
