Teslin River Attributes:
- Can be paddled in two mains sections, each of which is 7-10 days (although the second section is entirely upon the Yukon River)
- In combination with the Yukon River it is very historical and still has many artifacts along the river
- Appropriate for all ability levels ( no white water )
- Can be combined with a visit to the scenic and historic Dawson City
- Is easier than the Upper Yukon River because you don't have to cross Lake Labarge
- You will encounter some motor boat activity on this large, relatively deep river
The Teslin River is ideal For:
- People who are looking for a non-technical river trip which offers wilderness camping and lots of history to explore
- People travelling with children of older family members
- People who wish to do a long canoe trip all the way to Dawson City, but avoid the large and potentially windy Lake Labarge on the Yukon River route
