Clothing
- Light-weight warm jacket ( goose down is best)
- Wool Pants ( army surplus has great selection usually or Ebay)
- Warm pants (fleece) if you don't have wool
- Warm top (non-cotton) x 2
- Quick-dry synthetc pants for camp
- Mid-weight base layer (top & bottom)
- 4 pairs of wool or wool-blend socks
- Synthetic t-shirt
- Undergarments (synthetic)
- Long Johns Top and botton (synthetic or wool.....no cotton)
- Warm hat
- Sun hat (ball cap or something with a good brim)
- warm gloves
- insulated leather work gloves with a cuff
Other
- Mukluks are best for footwear or Canadian Army Mukluks available from army surplus
- Camp Shoes or holofill booties
- Sleeping bag, rated -20°C (-1°F) or better (available for rent from CFA)
- Sleeping mat or pad (available for rent from CFA)
- Head lamp/flash light
- Personal toiletries/sunscreen/sunglasses
- Medications
- Camera and extra batteries
- small day-pack
