At Cabin Fever Adventures we believe strongly in life-long-learning. We certainly still enjoy broadening our horizons and we suspect you do as well. The lifestyle of many northerners is full of experiences that people from other places find fascinating. Many of these activities involved more connected ways of living that involve a high degree of self-sufficiency. Come join us for a taste of authentic northern life by rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in something a little out of the ordinary!
- Fall harvest of a moose: This is a participation hunt only, and clients will not be able to hunt a moose but will instead participate in the hunt conducted by the owners and learn about the process.
- Farming arctic charr : The owners of Cabin Fever Adventures have an arctic charr farm in the lake they reside on. Come help us set nets, harvest and process this beautiful fish of the north.
- Traditional snowshoeing toboggan trips: The owners of Cabin Fever Adventures usually head out on the land in the winter for a week or so on snowshoes and experience the winter beauty of this northern land and take in the northern lights. Learn about cold weather survival and traditional travel by snowshoe.
- Homestead living: Just come and spend time with us at the cabin and see what living is like when you chop firewood, haul water from the lake, cook on a wood stove, and live a little closer to the land. Available by custom booking. Contact us to learn more.
